CAMERON AYERS

​ABOUT
Born and raised primarily in Southern California, Cameron discovered his love for music at the age of seven. He quickly learned that making up his own melodies was more fulfilling than learning the material assigned by his piano teacher.
​
After seven years of piano lessons, Cameron joined his high school drumline. He quickly fell in love with the activity and went on to perform with notable ensembles, including the Sacramento Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps and Pulse Percussion.
​
Today, Cameron composes and arranges works for music programs across Southern California. He is also an educator and gigging musician. Notable teaching experience includes his work with the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, and Winter Guard International world champions Pulse Percussion. He performs with Sidle Entertainment, who energize sporting events across Southern California. These ensembles include the LA Chargers Thunderbolts Drumline, LA Kings Drumline, and drumline performances for college sports and corporate events.

Elated to be working with ensembles old and new for the winter 2026 season. Golden Valley High School and Clovis West High School are joining the CAM lineup, along with Buena High School and Moorpark High School.

Buena High School rejoined the SCSBOA 2A finalist lineup for the first time since 2022, placing 5th in percussion and 11th overall.
​
Valencia High School took the gold medal overall in the SCSBOA 2A finals! Their percussion section placed 3rd out of the 12 finalists.
